Vintage-style delay with a lush, analog, tape-like sound

The Skreddy™ Echo Mini takes my Echo circuit and compresses the parts layout, deleting the modulation section, squeezing it into a standard small enclosure.

  1. No pitch shifting, just the straight delay, very analog in its character, warm and squishy
  2. The omission of the modulation also opens up the shorter time settings, which were formerly difficult to dial in because of the pitch shifting which got stronger at shorter delay times
  3. Uses buffered bypass in order to facilitate trails (i.e.; the delays naturally decay after switching it off). This "buffer" is actually the Echo's dry circuit and is a better quality signal than true bypass switching--and I'm an old-school true-bypass enthusiast.

The repeats degrade very gradually into a musical, harmonic soup if you turn them up high enough.  Self oscillation is possible (though not in a touchy or unpredictable way) without the bothersome runaway volume some old analog delays have.

Ultra-High Sample-Rate (Delta-Sigma) Digital Delay with Analog Filtering and Limiting
